Ferrari 458 configurator

If you answered yes to the title of this article, then take a squiz here and play with Ferrari’s very nifty 458 configurator.

I was rocking it with the cool 1950s-60s colour Avio Metallic (you can just imagine the orange Gulf Racing stripes down the guts) and the forged alloys on the outside, and went for a charcoal/cioccolato leather combo for the interior. Y’know, just because I could.

What did you come up with?

I spec’d one up for Wayne to save him the hassle of a thread, poll and all that.

Bwahaha! I wonder if they would actually build one like that should people want to have a 458 that is “unique”?

    Hi,

    Good website.

Mr Stubbies version of ways car is a classic.

To answer the question, would they build it??

If you have enough $$ and cred, they will build anything. The proof is the ugly McEnzo they built for a certain truck magnate in melbourne. I’m too lazy to search for a link, but google it.

The word is that when the order came in to the factory the paint shop refused to do it as it was too ugly. Eventually the word came down that Mr Fox was an exceptional customer, and it got built. He was the only one to get a two tone enzo!

    Cheers

after playing with it a bit i notice that it seems to me the door and seat inserts are back to front- ie if u were so enclined to have black seats with colour in the middle the door pattern is back to front so u cant have say mainly black doors with a colour in the middle it does it back to front making the secondary colour the main colour of the door with a black insert!.. thats it i’m never buying one! haha

Also that Fox story i heard a different version that the factory gave him no option on the roof colour so when he got it delivered the first spraypainter he took it to refused the job but the next was less caring about making an Enzo look like it belonged to Ronald McDonald.. maybe one day with the power of google someone in the know can settle this olde wives tale haha
