Google blurred The Stig

The Stig at Loch Ness

Earlier this week we brought you the news that The Stig had been spotted alongside Loch Ness in Scotland. Now, for some inexplicable reasonthe chums at Google Street View have decided to blur little Stiggy’s image. As you can see above they’ve not done a terribly convincing job, either. From other angles, though, and further distances the blur effect is much greater.

If anyone has any theories as to why this would have been done, please post them all in the comments section.

    Internet filtering at it’s finest.

No idea, I’d assume that the policy applies for mortals that their faces are blurred also, so they retrospectively applied that to Stiggy.

    Shame, very clever prank.

Maybe it is a new image and they have replaced the real Stig with a LEGO Stig…

Images of The Stig are banned in China, its a communist plot. PANIC.

Looks like someone at google has a sense of humor, in fact they probably said to themselves: “I bet if I blur the stig people will be freaked out trying to figure out why and come up with weird conspiracy theories”

Why blur someone or something (it is the stig we are talking about) that isn`t really reconisible.
I think it`s an stupid action of google….
