Audi RS4 v Vauxhall VXR8

Steve Sutcliffe from Autocar brings us a clash of cultures with a great V8 estate debate. It’s the Audi RS4 versus the Vauxhall (nee Holden) VXR8. Germany v Australia. David v Goliath.

We love fast wagons here at AUSmotive and, really, who doesn’t love a V8! Which would you choose?

[Thanks to John for the tip]

Fast wagons are the best I will agree, but value for money aside there is no contest here. The RS4 is in a completely different pedigree. Style, refinement, interior quality are just worlds apart.

Look at the price difference over there. £5000 difference seems bugger all when your spending £50k. Here in Australian the R8 will sell on a much bigger price advantage, but if you were in the UK, the RS4 is a winner every time.
