After the break you can see onboard video of Marc Lieb’s full 6:57 lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife set in a Porsche 918 Spyder ‘Weissach Package’.
For those readers who may not be aware the accepted standard for these industry lap times is to start and end timing at two different locations. The start point is at the end of the T13 complex (the old Nordschleife pit area), just before the left hander into the start of the Hatzenbach esses.
The end point for timing purposes is immediately after the right hand entry into T13, as marked on the above image.

F*ck me that’s a quick lap – looked pretty hairy in places too!
285km/h down the final straight?
300km/h through Schwedenkreuz was pretty scary too!
looks like was preserving fuel or battery power towards the end
So damn fast. It looked unbelievably stable and quick through the carousel.
McLaren are really struggling to get their P1 to crack the sub 7 minute mark. They must be fuming.
Marc Lieb said in an interview that he could have gone even faster.
I can’t wait till one of the big UK reviewers get to test the 918 vs P1 vs LaFerrari. To find out who the current king of Hypercars is.
I just went porsche/nurburg heaven. fkn’el.
I wonder how many P1s are going to eat Armco in an attempt to beat that.
