Hopefully the content of this video will make up for that dreadful pun in the headline. What you’re looking at here is a behind the scenes ride by Sky Sports F1 presenter Martin Brundle in the FOM chopper which brings us spectacular television footage from grands prix around the world.
As the image above indicates Brundle took his joy ride during the Italian Grand Prix. These guys would pull come serious Gs as they move around trying to keep in touch with the F1 rockets at ground level. This is definitely not a job for those with a squeamish tummy!

Amazing shots. They get so close to the trees and those angles looks pretty risky. I have no doubt the pilots talents, but at those angles and speed so close to the ground one tiny mechanical failure could mean an absolutely disaster.
I don’t mind Brundle. Wish Walker was still there. But the other guy who sits with Brundle (David Croft) is absolute rubbish and knows zero about cars in general let alone anything about F1. He once claimed the new turbo F1 cars don’t have spark plugs, how F’n ridiculous was that statement until Brundle had to correct him. He’s just a media whore. He also annoyingly talks about Hamilton in his commentary like he is having a love affair with him, it’s quite disturbing.
