The Golf GTI – six generations

VW Golf GTI - Wheels liftout

Wheels magazine is celebrating the local launch of the new Golf GTI with this great addition to their November issue. You can read the liftout online by clicking on the image above. I also understand the hard copy version will be included on newsstands with the regular magazine.

If nothing else, this brochure does a great job of detailing all the new aspects of the Mk6 Golf GTI and, by covering all previous five generations of GTI, it gives a solid insight into the history of the GTI legend.

Great job Wheels, thank you.

Yes there is a 32 page GTI special glued to the back of the latest Wheels magazine that is on the stands now.

This could be one of the best Golf GTI yet. However, one thing that has not changed is the front seats. It is still the same as the old Golf V. I find the driver’s seats uncomfortable as it is long and too inclined. There are no rake settings. I have short legs and when I in the Golf’s driver’s seat, I have trouble reaching the pedals. Otherwise, great car!

Dude are you a dwarf? If you can’t reach the pedals in a tiny Golf you need to give up driving and take the bus.
