Yes, it’s an elaborate April Fool’s Day stunt. But the car is real, BMW will register it and use it for internal purposes. Besides, an M3 ute is very, very cool. Who could possibly say no to that!

BMW have a good history of pranks. I still have the stickers on my mini they sent me for april fools years ago

i remember reading in an issue of EVO about the M division skunk works. apparently they have an old e30 m3 ute as their parts/ run around car. been a part of the factory for years
