Mercedes-Benz Australia is making a big deal about the first C63 AMG Coupé Black Series making its way to our shores. And why wouldn’t they. With 380kW on tap from a handbuilt 6.3 litre V8 and a kick arse body kit it’s a car sure to win admirers from all walks of life.

The car in the photos is painted in Diamond White and features matte black wheels as well as the AMG aero package. It’s the first of just 32 C63 AMG Blacks coming to Australia, all have been sold, and it will make its first public appearance at the Australian Grand Prix.

First C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series Lands in Australia

The final touches to the first C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series destined for Australia were made just weeks ago and the vehicle has now arrived.

Performing a number of duties at this year’s 2012 Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, the GT3 series inspired AMG is the first of 32 to arrive in Australia, of which all are sold.

Finished in Diamond White paint work and matte black wheels, the C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series arrives with an optional AMG Aerodynamics package which includes an adjustable rear aerofoil, enlarged front splitter and carbon fibre flics on the front bumper. These combined with the two bucket seats inside make for an amazing road car which doubles as a great track car.

The team at the Mercedes-AMG factory in Affalterbach, Germany, worked to a tight schedule to ensure the vehicle was ready in time for the 2012 Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix which kicks off on Thursday 15 March.

Can’t touch paint without wearing pristine white gloves, but aluminium ruler is ok on bodywork???

An Aluminium ruler won’t deposit oils or acids on the paintwork like hands would.

The real problem for that poor car coming down under is that you can’t put a pair of gloves on the foul Melbourne atmosphere 🙂

Quite right Alpine. I recall you have had a few in white haven’t you?
I just hope the Black sounds even better than a C63 PPP. What sort of fettling MB did to the exhaust system seems to be completely unknown.
