Be careful what you wish for

Toyota has just launched a brand new Auris hatchback, we’ll know it down under as the eleventh-generation Corolla. To help promote the new Auris, Toyota is running this ad in Japan (available below) that’s sure to generate some attention.

Put it this way, we’d not be running a Corolla story on AUSmotive if Toyota weren’t so willing to deceive.

Still, at least it’s a change from the equally questionable clutter of cats!

There is NO WAY the Australian advertising board will let that on. This is a country where ads are banned if they show a Holden driving up a driveway between a kids toys or doing a donut in an empty paddock.
…Then again, they recently let the Toyota 86 ad on with what’s his name screaming around a ‘private dirt track’ so perhaps it’s a matter of $$$.
