Subaru Australia has good news for its customers waiting for a BRZ sports coupé. An extra allocation of 140 cars has been secured which should mean a cut in waiting time for those with expected deliveries from May next year onwards.
Nick Senior, Managing Director, Subaru Australia, said: “We’re delighted that Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) has recognized the enormous demand for BRZ in Australia and allocated additional production.â€
If you’re one of the BRZ customers who may be affected by this generally good news expect your local dealer to be in touch soon. And if you’re one of the many people waiting up to 18 months for a Toyota 86, don’t be too despondent. Your time will come. Eventually.
BRZ Bonus for Patient Buyers
Subaru has managed to source extra production of its high-demand BRZ sports car in February and March next year.
The extra allocation of 140 vehicles means customers due to receive cars from May onwards will achieve better than anticipated delivery dates.

BRZ has been a runaway success since its July launch, selling exclusively online.
Prior to FHI’s extra allocation, the back orders were through to November 2013, but Mr Senior says all customers from May next year can expect an improvement in their car’s estimated delivery time.
Subaru’s initial allocation of 201 cars to the end of 2012 sold-out after just three hours of going “live†on the web.
BRZ has a National Driveaway Price* starting at $37,150, and includes a three-year/60,000 kilometre scheduled service plan** and a five-star ANCAP occupant safety rating.
