North American Alfisti can wake with a smile this morning with confirmation Alfa Romeo will be returning to the US car market. They’ll be relaunching the brand at the New York International Auto Show next month.

And when you’ve got a car as sexy at the 4C why not!

It will be the first time Alfas have been on sale Stateside since 1995 and the Italian manufacturer plans to offer around 500 4Cs from its annual 3500 capacity. Other models will also be included in the Alfa Romeo stable with firm details on hold for now.

Alfa chooses New York Auto Show for brand’s US return

Alfa Romeo will mark its North American return at the 2014 New York International Auto Show with the highly anticipated and high-performance Alfa Romeo 4C.

Coming soon, the all-new Alfa Romeo 4C delivers an exotic mid-engine design inspired by the brand’s legendary racing history.

State-of-the-art carbon fiber monocoque, a turbocharged engine influenced by Formula 1, and advanced technological solutions combine to deliver supercar-level performance and driving exhilaration.

“With more than 60 new vehicle reveals scheduled this year, the New York Auto Show is accustomed to hosting a wide range of exciting, newsworthy events,” said Show Chairman John LaSorsa.

“The recent announcement that Alfa Romeo is returning to the market and has chosen the New York Auto Show to mark the occasion is very special for us and will be well received by our visitors,” he added.

For the Alfa Romeo brand, the all-new 4C represents the essential sportiness embedded in the brand’s DNA: Italian style, performance and technical excellence, for maximum driving pleasure in complete safety.

The Auto Show runs from April 18–27, 2014 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. Press Preview days are April 16 & 17.
