That crackling sound is either my dodgy laptop speakers or the sound of $40 million of Victorian taxpayers’ money being burned just to hold a race for go karts that sound like sewing machines.
Looking forward to hearing the sound of the new engines .. Hopefully the new regulations levels out the playing field this year .. It will be good to see Daniel compete higher up in the pack [hopefully!]
Regardless of any arguments and the annual complaining from uninterested people, the fact that Melbourne gets beamed into millions of homes around the globe will do wonders for the tourism economy for Melbourne and Australia. Sometimes people just don’t see beyond their peripheral vision and look at the bigger picture.
It’s a bit like the Summernats in Canberra. I haven’t been to it myself for around 20 years and I don’t have much interest in the event. But I don’t join the chorus of objections which are aired every year.
For the most part I wouldn’t even know it was on. I do acknowledge that some of the neighbouring suburbs around the Nats location can be affected by noise, pollution and general dickheadness, but by the time your blood pressure has boiled it’s all over.
